Experts of IMEPOWER Consulting participated in the round table organized by the Parliament’s Special Control Commission on Privatization and devoted to the discussion of the Draft Law on specifics of privatization of power companies. The Draft Law was developed by the Parliament’s experts with involvement of the State Property Fund, Energy Company of Ukraine, Ministry of Fuel and Energy, representatives of the Ukrainian power generation and distribution companies as well as IMEPOWER Consulting. The main purpose of the Law is to define clearly specifics of privatization of thermal power generation companies, CHPs and regional power distribution and supply companies. It is expected that the Draft Law will be finalized and approved by the Parliament in the course of 2009 that will create a solid foundation for further privatization of the majority stakes in 4 thermal power generation companies.
