Description: management of EUR 140 million EBRD’s lending programme. Commercial, technical, legal and regulatory due diligence of the pipeline of renewable projects submitted for the EBRD financing (200 projects screened / 50+ due diligence assignments completed / 15+ loan agreements signed) – pipeline includes wind, solar, biomass, biogas and small hydro projects
Tasks/activities performed:
- project screening
- negotiation of project financing schemes and structures
- compliance checks of project sponsors and review of their financial position
- legal and regulatory due diligence
- preparation of financial models
- assessment of project risks during development, construction and operation phases, advice on risk mitigation strategies/options
- analysis of legal and regulatory framework related to development, construction and operation of renewable power plants, preparation of amendments to laws and regulations, interaction with the Regulator and the Parliament Fuel and Energy Sector Committee
- advice to developers in the areas of project structuring, land allocation, grid connection, licensing, procurement of equipment, materials and services, commissioning, etc. to ensure bankability of the projects
- review of EPC and O&M contracts and their improvement in line with the best international practices
- preparation of financial models, project review reports, coordination with developers and investors
- delivering workshops to developers on the best practices.
