Description: advice on market, regulatory, financial, technical and legal aspects of operations of the renewable power plants in Ukraine in the framework of mediation between several industry associations and the Government coordinated by the Energy Community Secretariat of renewable power plants
Tasks/activities performed:
- assessment of effective legal and regulatory framework related to operations of renewable power plants and Renewable PSO (electricity off-take, curtailment, balancing, etc.);
- identification of problems related to operations of liberalized electricity market model and bankability of the Guaranteed Buyer (with account of Household PSO);
- identification of technical problems related to successful integration of renewables into the energy system;
- preparing reports and recommendations for the mediation working groups related to improvement of electricity market functioning, including Renewable and Household PSO mechanisms, curtailment compensation methodology, etc;
- drafting Memorandum of Understanding that was signed between renewable associations, Government and Regulator as well as respective amendments to legal and normative documents.
